Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about ordering, shipping, and caring for your Tangabula pieces. If your question isn’t answered here, we’re always happy to help.
1. Ordering & Payment
1.1. What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover), as well as Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal. You can choose whichever feels easiest at checkout.
1.2. Is my payment information secure?
Yes. All payments are processed through a secure, encrypted checkout. Your card details are never stored on our servers.
1.3. Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?
Because we aim to process orders within 1–2 business days, we recommend contacting us as soon as possible at support@tangabula.com if you need to make a change. We'll do our best to help before your order ships. Once an order has shipped, it falls under our return and exchange policy.
2. Shipping & Delivery
2.1. When will my order ship?
Orders are processed within 1–2 business days after payment is received, Monday through Friday, excluding weekends and holidays. Once your order ships, you'll receive a confirmation email with tracking.
2.2. Where do you ship, and how long does delivery take?
We ship within the United States and internationally. Domestic (U.S.): Standard 5–7 business days, Priority 2–3 business days, Express 1–2 business days. International: Express 5–7 business days, Economy 7–14 business days. Delivery estimates begin once your order has shipped and may vary with destination, customs, and carrier conditions.
2.3. How do I track my order?
Tracking details are emailed to you once your package leaves our facility. Please allow up to 24 hours for tracking to begin updating within the carrier's system. You can also check the order status on Order Tracking Page.
2.4. Will I pay customs or duties on international orders?
International orders may be subject to customs duties, taxes, or import fees set by the destination country. These charges are the responsibility of the customer and are separate from the purchase price and shipping cost.
3. Returns & Exchanges
3.1. What is your return policy?
Because our collections are made in small batches and limited quantities, all sales are final by default. We're unable to accept returns for a change of mind, personal preference, or a size chosen in error at checkout. When the fault is ours, however, we'll always make it right: if you receive the wrong item, or a piece arrives damaged or with a verified defect, you're eligible for a return. Please report it within 5 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos. In these cases we cover return shipping and refund your original payment method.
3.2. Can I return something that doesn't fit?
While we don't accept returns for a change of mind, we're glad to help with sizing. You may request an exchange for a different size of the same piece, subject to availability. If the size you need isn't in stock, we'll issue store credit, which doesn't expire. Please start your request within 5 days of delivery. Return shipping for exchanges is the customer's responsibility unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect.
3.3. How do I request a return or exchange?
Email us at support@tangabula.com with your order number, the item, the reason for your request, and photos if the piece arrived damaged or incorrect. We'll review it and confirm whether it qualifies before you send anything back. Items returned without prior authorization may be refused.
3.4. What if my item arrives damaged or incorrect?
We're sorry if that happens, and we'll make it right. Please contact us within 72 hours of delivery at support@tangabula.com with your order number and clear photos of the issue. Because the error is ours, we'll cover return shipping and arrange a replacement or a refund to your original payment method.
3.5. Are any items non-returnable?
Yes. Jewelry, customized or special-order pieces, and sale items are final sale and can't be returned or exchanged, except in the rare case that the item arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect.
4. Sizing & Fit
4.1. How do I choose the right size?
Each product page includes a size guide with detailed measurements. Our boubous, kaftans, and kimonos are designed with a relaxed, flowing cut, so they suit a range of shapes. If you find yourself between two sizes, we generally recommend sizing up.
5. Product & Care
5.1. What are your pieces made from?
Tangabula centers on elevated textiles such as Aso Oke and brocade, alongside other carefully selected woven and printed fabrics. Because these materials are traditional and often handworked, slight variations in color, weave, print placement, and finish are natural characteristics of each piece and are not considered defects. They're part of what makes your garment one of a kind.
5.2. How do I care for my pieces?
Our fabrics are chosen to last, and caring for them well is part of owning something made to be kept. As a general rule, wash less than you might think, use cool water with a mild detergent, and let pieces air-dry rather than exposing them to heat. Handwoven textiles like Aso Oke and brocade prefer gentle hand-washing or dry cleaning, while our linens and cottons are more forgiving. Always follow the care label on each garment first, as it reflects that specific fabric. For full fabric-by-fabric guidance and storage tips, see our Care Guide.
